Hello all of the grade 9's, what I will be blogging about is the German flag. The German flag has 3 horizontal stripes black, red and yellow. The German's picked the colours because when they were in war against France the German military wore black uniforms that had red braid and yellow buttons. The colour black symbolizes determination, red symbolizes for bravery and strength and yellow symbolizes generosity. The flag had became popular in 1918. Make sure to keep on checking out some of my future posts about Germany. See y'alls.

That's very interesting Alec! Italy's flag also has three stripes however, they are vertical. Italy's flag has three colours and one of them is also red just like Germany! The red in my flag represents strength and charity which is pretty much the same as Germany's red.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is amazing Alec! The only thing that our flags share is that they both have three horizontal stripes. The differences are that the colors are different, and my flag has an extra vertical flag on the left side. Germany is such an interesting country, and I am looking forward to see you next blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, Alec! The only thing that England and Germany shares on their the colour red on its flag! Other than that our flags are very different. Germany's flag has three stripes while England's has a cross on a white background. England's flag has a cross on it instead of three srtipes. England's flag became popular in the 16th century! That was way before Germany's flag. Germany sounds like a very interesting country and I look forward to learning more about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool Alec! France’s flag is also a tri-colour flag! The colours are red, white, and blue! Red seams to be a common colour on flags. Canadian, German, Chinese, British, and many more all have red on their flag. Look forward to reading your next blogs on Germany!
